Why Choose Soft Step Carpet and Flooring
A: To keep your Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring looking its best, sweep or vacuum regularly using a soft-bristle attachment to remove dirt and grit. Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, wax, or harsh chemicals that could harm the finish. Occasionally, use a manufacturer-recommended vinyl floor cleaner for a deeper clean, and always dry the floor thoroughly to prevent moisture damage. Protect your floors by placing pads under furniture legs and using rugs in high-traffic areas. These simple steps will help your LVP flooring stay beautiful and durable for years to come.
A: To keep your carpet in top shape after installation, avoid heavy foot traffic for 24 to 48 hours to let the fibers and adhesive settle. Vacuum regularly—once or twice a week—with a vacuum suited for your carpet type to prevent dirt buildup. Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean cloth and using a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive methods that could damage the fibers. For a deeper clean, schedule professional carpet cleaning every 12 to 18 months. We’re here to provide expert advice and support to help you maintain the beauty and longevity of your carpet.
A. Some vacuums are better for maintaining your new carpets than others.
SWEEPERS: (Dyson Warning) Some older model sweepers and “Dyson-like” sweepers may be hard to use with your new carpet due to the new fibers and softness.
Please read the floor care instructions, as Soft Step Carpet provides no warranty for sweepers.
